We are located centrally on Andenes Harbour in Andøy municipality. The island is renowned for its expansive moors, white sandy beaches and craggy mountains, the midnight sun and space research centre. With Veita as your home base, you can take advantage of Whale Safari excursions, admire the bird rocks at Bleiksøya, catch your own dinner in the sea, or experience HISNAKUL, the Polar Museum, The Island Museum, arts and crafts workshops, boat excursions and pleasant dining venues. For those who prefer to experience nature on their own, we recommend trout and char fishing in the well-stocked mountain lakes, salmon fishing in nearby rivers, scuba diving, bicycle outings and hiking. Veita comprises newly renovated houses, a guest parlour, studio/workshop, barn building and lush gardens. The place was once a typical North-Norwegian fisherman-farmer property and is the only one of its kind remaining in the older settlement area of Andenes.
